With boarders opening up, and our Asia adventure potentially coming to and end, we wanted to make sure we got in a good trip during Easter holidays.
We chose Australia: They were open to fully vaccinated people that tested negative before departure, and as long as we did not catch COVID in Australia we would be able to get back to Singapore. It was a risk, but because we were planning a road trip and would be primarily in our family bubble of four, we felt it was a calculated, reasonable risk.
Below is the route we took. We initially underestimated the vastness of Australia and only realized when we did the more detailed planning we had to cover over a 1000km... We just thought that landing in Melbourne and leaving from Adelaide would be relatively easy. But we did have to cover some serious milage!
Melboure to Cape Jervis where we took the ferry to Kangaroo Island for a couple of days of island exploring
