Because of no direct flights from London to BVI, we had a stop-over in Antigua, which we would use for a resort stay on the way back, once we were done with sailing.
Due to a delayed departure from London, the whole transfer process in Antigua to get on our flight to Tortola was stressful to say the least, but we made it!! And then, in Tortola, the car to bring us to the harbor was waiting for us and we were able to finish a long day in the serenity of our yacht!
The next dat, once we were done with buying and loading all the provisions, getting everything charged and fueled, we were ready to leave the harbor and venture out. It was a bit daunting, given the size of the yacht, but off we were!
First day we would sail to the Indians for some snorkeling and then pick a buoy for the night at Privateer Bay at Norman Island. There was also a cave to explore near treasure point, and because we arrived relatively late in the afternoon, we had the cave all to ourselves, which is a rarity.
At then end of the day we fired up the BBQ and celebrated our first successful day with a wonderful sunset.
