Maldives (3/4) - Excursions

In between all the swimming and playing on the beach, we were also able to find time for some of the excursions the resort had to offer.  We opted for the sunset cruise, a snorkelling trip and a fishing trip. Not that we really needed to go on a boat to do some snorkelling as the house reef was already pretty impressive which lots of different fish, large and small.

Besides all of this, there was also the opportunity to do water sports. So we did some kayaking with Mees and Lina. Dirk and I were also allowed to go diving but we only wanted to leave Mees and Lina behind when they had made some friends and other people could look after them. So ultimately we only made one dive, which was amazing. We saw 3 water turtles in one dive alone and it was like swimming in an overcrowded aquarium. The fish life was very diverse.

We did not catch anything but the suspense of potentially having caught something was nice.

The resort also had fish feeding every evening and the fish really came out for that one. Big sting rays and sharks.
