I had to visit Mauritius for work. We have a presence there for which I am responsible. I think I was in the plane longer than I was on the ground itself but nevertheless it was a super useful and valuable experience. Needless to say it was great to connect with the team in person.
I have never been in such a "vacation like" hotel for business and in reality, the staff did not really know what happened when I told them I was only staying for two nights! :-)
On Sunday one of my team members took me to tour the island. It was beautiful! I even saw some local wildlife :-)
