Maaike and Klaartje visited me in London and it was really very nice.
They arrived on Friday noon with the Eurostar. So first we went home for lunch and some relaxation, after which we decided to go and discover Chelsea. It resulted in a very nice sunny afternoon of strolling and window shopping amongst the rich and famous.
The next day we decided to do a walk through Notting Hill. What a neighborhood!! Trendy, classic, rich, old, grand, beautiful. The weather was extremely lovely so we were out from 11 till 5 and had a really nice time. We even had the chance to have a proper English tea :-). Walking the entire day outside however really makes one tired, so no more late night partying. Instead we ordered Sushi and had a dinner at home after Mees and Lina were put to bed. I think we were all under by 10!
On Sunday morning, while Mees and Lina were at Dutch School, we went to Bishop's Park along the Thames and relaxed over coffee.
Not enough pictures unfortunately as I always seem to forget to capture the moment on camera. But a couple with my phone at least.
All in all a very nice weekend. I guess we started off a new thing.
