We are now in week 4 of the renovation project and finally we see some real progress. Off course we have some setbacks, which is normal when renovating a house from 1904, but we are trying to keep control of our budget. Here are some photos from this week.

Work on the Loft Bathroom has started
Preparations for installing the wooden floor in the living room are underway
However when removing the skirting boards the builders exposed some damp walls behind the skirting boards. A small setback that results in additional work, including removal of plasterwork, not yet in the budget. We already installed a drain in the front of the house so we hope (and the builder is sure of it) that the wall just did not had enough time to dry and that the dampness was trapped behind the skirting boards.
