Initially Mees was asked to be one of the narrators, because she is such a good talker, but she indicated she did not want to be a narrator because she did not want to talk during the play (oh? OK...). So she became a snowflake (more kids than roles) and only had to perform in one dance and song combination.
All the kids looked extremely cute, and so did Mees, and I applaud her self-knowledge. Because while during the dress rehearsal she knocked everybody's socks off and "was really the best singer", she did not budge during the actual play. Very shy, not one single note, and perhaps half a dance.
Still, we thought she did great and she was the cutest snowflake EVER. We only need to work on her public appearances a bit.
