The move to our new home (Part I)

We are so happy! We finally moved from the temp housing to our new permanent home. For me the downside is that I now have a real commute (approx 1 hour door-to-door, if everyting runs on time...) in stead of the 5 min walk from the office to the temp appartment (so even less time with the girls). The upsides however are numerous: lots of space, nice neighbourhood, garden for the kids, roomy house, etc...

The move was hard work. The unpacking even harder. But we did it. With the help of Dirk's parents, who entertained the kids and helped out getting our stuff organized.

First challenge was to get everything from our temp appartment to our new house. Dirk managed to get everything in our new car so we only had to drive once. The car was stuffed to the very last inch. The grandparents, the kids and me, went by public transport.

Then we had to unpack all our furniture and belongings which were wrapped to perfection by the movers in Houston. Pieces of art, but sooo much paper....
