The latter was the most impressive: 7 large duffle bags, 3 suitcases, 2 carseats, 1 stroller and some
carry-on luggage. Luckily we had arranged for transport to and from the airports. A large SUV and towncar in Houston and 2 large suvs in London.
The trip went reasonably OK. Logistics wise everything was smooth, but sleep wise it could have been better. Mees and Lina decided sleep was overrated, resulting in a lot of distraction activities by us. But ultimately we were able to get in a couple of hours.
And then, we were in London. In our temporary 3 bedroom appartment on Baker street, just of Regents Park. Surreal, even now, after 2 weeks. We really hope to find our final house soon, so we can settle in and try to grow some roots again.
Life has been hectic. Work for me translates into 12-14 hour days, at least. Luckily Dirk only has to start working on 6 June, allowing a slower pace of transition for the girls. Dirk is charged with looking for daycare, schools and nannys. Hopefuly that also will become more certain soon.
